Well, fellow riders, at least those of us who will continue to ride for the rest of the year...

We are officially entering the Holiday Season, and you know what that means. Very distracted drivers, wondering who's bringing cranberry sauce to dinner, whether the boss will give them Christmas week off or not, why does my husband want to start listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving...

And for some reason, everyone forgets how to turn their headlights on.

Within the past two days, I've been cut off twice by daydreaming drivers pulling out from side streets. This morning, it was on my own street. Thankfully, with all of the random driving that must occur in India, Royal Enfield equips their bikes with very effective horns.

Sadly the myopically stupid thrive at this time of year as you stated.

A BM panzer driver pulled out on me earlier as to fat & idle be to look around the car obstructing his view.

All that saved him from a torrent of abuse is his child in the passenger seat (god help us they breed as well)

My personal hate is those who cut over to the wrong side of the road turning right because if I was in a car they'd dent their bodywork but as I'm on a bike zero f**** given by them

I see you are riding an Interceptor like me. Coincidentally you have the same type of clock as I have in the middle of the handlebar,lol. I got mine from China and it is already 2 years old...and still works. Regarding the horn, yeah the Interceptor has two of them and they are very loud. Here in New Zealand we have summer now and the season of riding is at the highest... I live in the North where there is no snow so I ride all year round.

Just got back from a little 20 mle ride. It was a beautiful day for it. Bright and clear with temperatures in the low 60's. But OMG the traffic!. Between the last minute Thanksgiving shoppers and the early Christmas shoppers and the people traveling to family gatherings it was really intense! One thing you don't want to do is get in the way of one of these soccer moms in a 4,000 lbs plus SUV all stressed out becuase she has a mile long list of things to do to get ready for the hollidays. She will run you over in a heartbeat.

How is this for a visual. Right now, my 84-year-old Mom is piloting a Saturn to the WinCo to pick up Thanksgiving fixin's while my wife is texting her the shopping list.

Of course, there are things you can do to make yourself more conspicuous on the road during the holidays.
And give the poor cagers stuck in traffic a little cheer too.
