The bike dates back to 1980. 45 is a pretty ripe old age for a motorcycle (outside a museum, at least). The rider dates back to 1954. 71 is of course the "three score and ten" that's marked "definitely out of warranty" for thousands of years. The building in the background is from 1872 (according to the sign over the door). 153 is pretty good for a wood-frame building (though the Pantheon in Rome laughs at such short-lived structures).

We're all doing pretty good for our age, I think.

I got up this morning and there was this fat, old man staring at me in the mirror.
Where the hell did all the time go, so quickly?
Yep, it's a funny - and sad thing - isn't it? My dad - God rest him - has been gone 7 1/2 years now, but he lived to the ripe old age of 92. I hope I inherited a lot of his genes - lol! When I was a kid, I had "delusions of grandeur" that I was going to be the first human being in history to live a thousand years. How childishly naive and ironic! The illusions were nice while they lasted though. 😂

Yes. when you're young, you're not thinking of aging. just enjoying life with no worries. But once you settle down and have a family, you carry on the traditions of all your forefathers and mothers. Be happy that you can still enjoy your passion.
