So…

Who knows of a better after-market belly pan?

Mine - after 4 months, and being introduced to the WA BDR - split, on the right side rear mounting bracket.

I’m that good.

And before anyone says, Well… maybe don’t ride so hard… let me spare you. Fat to zero chance of that. I bought this bike for this exact kind of riding - the gravel and dirt roads of the OR and WA BDR.

Wachuko installed a cool one after his broke. Not cheap but awesome.
The problem is it doesn't fit correctly and vibrates broke. I tweeked the heck out of mine, plus spacers (nuts) to get it to fit without tension. I'm hoping it lasts.

Well… there goes the SRC Option. As of today (6/23/23) their website read, “Please note: We were having these made here in the US and the cost just kept going up and up to the point where it was no longer feasible. We have SRC Designs Thailand working on a similar version and we will update this as soon as we have an eta.” So I’ve got that going for me… Which is too bad because the design looks pretty good. (I’ll still call them here in a little bit and talk to them about it. Work? Who needs work when the bike has broken bits)

Found it. Kinda pricey but it fits nice.

Showroom Address:

bwaaaaaa ha ha ha. That’s… less than 10 miles from me, I’d guess. Maybe 10. Guess I need to give them a ring after I talk to the dealer.

I'm designing a new one that should be able to take a beating.

Mine just broke as well. I dont even think it has actually come into contact with anything as I have only rode on roads and some gravel trails. (Pay no mind to my melted boot rubber on the exhaust lmao)

Anyone know if the Himalayan has the same bolt placement for the belly guard? I was going to weld mine back together but maybe it's better just to get a better designed one. There seems to be a lot of options out there for himmy, just wanted to make sure they will work before I pick one up.

Should be the same. Same frame. I tweeked mine around to fit better. So far, so good. The pan gets really pinched, both side to side and front to back, when it gets tightened down. Fortunately it bends easily enough for a better fit. You can literally slip spacers between the pan and frame, it's so much wider than the frame mounts.
I'm hoping mine hangs in there. I really don't want to spring big bucks for a nice pan.
