Weird sound in himalayan

Hi guys.

I have this weird sound in my himalayan 2018 and my mechanic can't find the problem, everything seems good,

This is the same sound in another bike, but the guy didn't give any explanation on how to fix it:

in my bike my mechanic changed a lot of parts recently and this is the only thing that is bothering me, the sound ONLY appears when the bike gets hot.

We recently changed: Crankshaft, cylinder and piston and valves, all original and new

My 2018 Himmy has 9,000 miles on it now and it has alway sounded like what as in your vids. Personally I like to hear all the bits of my motor. You want to hear a noise motor listen to a RE 500 single. It sounds like a tin can sliding up and down and I love it. These bikes have what you call character. Ride it and enjoy. Don’t worry be happy!😁

royal enfields are like jeeps: they often make noises that seem alarming at first but soon you accept them as background noise. in other words, if nothing breaks, ignore it.

I know this is bugging you, but yours sounds like mine. I think the second sounded louder, but there is a lot of context missing. I now have 8,000 miles and I am amazed at how smooth it is for a single cylinder.

I know everyone thinks is normal but I'm sure isn't, my bike didn't use to sound like that and it sounds like something is hitting inside, it's very weird, I don't think is normal, you can hear it clearly when I shut off the engine (Sec 10 of my video)

The first bike sounds (even at 10 Sec) seems ok to me too. The second one has a fair bit of tappet chatter.

But for your peace of mind get it checked by a good RE mechanic.

As Robet Pirsig said:

That's very concerning to me hahaha, in the first video I clearly hear a "rusty" sound, isn't even about valves, the "rusty" became even higher when I shut off the engine for a second, I got to the RE mechanic of my town and he heard it and it's trying to find the sound but he's having troubles with that

Motorcycles, especially air cooled bikes, make more noise than (most) water cooled bikes. The bike in the first video sounds normal to me.
I also ride an old Moto Guzzi, and that bike always knows to surprise me with new worrying noises. Only occasionally was the concern justified.

My Hima also makes noises that I can't explain, but as long as it runs normally I will not worry about it. Keep an eye on the oil level, lubricate the chain and check for loose and possibly resonating parts. And just ride the thing!

The first Moto Guzzi I bought was in a 1999 EV II. All the time the first day as I was putting on 600 miles, I was thinking to my self what in the world did a buy this thing? It’s surely going to blow up any minute it was so noisy. I love my Guzzis!
