What did you do to your SG/SM today

All of the bolts that came with my guards are way too long.
Nice pictures, but the instructions are not very clear. Regarding items 8 and 9 (Spacer Bosses 22 x 7mm and 20 x 36.5) the instructions for the lower mount are confusing. I'll just have to wait until I have it in my hands (order confirmation pending shipping notification). My local Ace hardware has a great selection of fasteners, or there's Belmetric and Boltdepot to order from too.

That bites. There is a lot of junk sold on eBay. I just ordered what I'm pretty sure are genuine KXA00202 Engine Guards from ROyal King. Their product description looks legitimate. I highlighted the lines that assured me. I will post more when I get them.

The seller I purchased from had the same descriptions for the item, still did not include the instructions. Will try to install after work and if there are ANY issues they will be returned.

On my way home, one of the baffles fell out of the new Rhino silencers. I knew something sounded strange, but I only discovered what had happened when I got home. So, I removed the other baffle and now it sounds like a beast. I think I like it ;-) And I got five oil filters.

So I just installed the compact engine guards on my SG650. Granted I have them orientated the correct way, wasn't too bad! Trying to figure out how to upload pictures, keep getting the "filesize too large" message.

Installed my seal savers after a proper wash today. Yes, these do work. No, they don't damage the lower fork tube at all. Made of neoprene, so they dry quickly. After having to replace the fork seals on my Honda at 9000 miles,, I started using these on every bike with USD forks that I own. Keeps the fine grit out of the seals and helps them last a lot longer.

Do these have a zipper? Size?

Yes, mine are the zippered style, but they do also make a non-zipper style. It's a bit cheaper, but requires removing the fork tubes to install. It's definitely a bit of a tight fit with the fender, but they do fit without rubbing. I am almost convinced the zip ties aren't necessary, but it's added insurance.

I installed these on my SM a couple weeks ago. Used the zippered ones. Great add on. Your owners manual will have the fork size listed. 43 mm I think.
Cheap insurance against having to perform a seal replacement. Do they look good? No, but they also don't really look bad. Most people never notice them until I point them out.

I got my compact engine guards, the genuine ones. That was fast. I ordered on Saturday, they shipped on Monday and I got them today, Wednesday. India to California in three days. I mounted them and they look pretty sharp, very compact and unobtrusive. They may save some paint in a tip-over, but would probably fold in a crash ;-/ Anyways, I like them.
