What did you do to your SG/SM today

Finally made it
So I got the aftermarket levers in (part number 92574R) and could not get the brake lever hole to line up no matter what I did. Wasn't even going to bother seeing if the clutch lever fit. Hopefully I am able to return these to Hitchcock's. Guess I'll try the other British company.

That is the correct part number. Perhaps you aren’t doing something right.

First mod today.
Got Givi backrest for SM from eBay. Ex display (you can see marks on the bolts).
Nearly £100 cheaper than the Hitchcocks price.
Personally, I think it looks way better than the stock RE one.

I need to find M8x30mm black bolts because they drive me nuts. I think I have some sort of OCD lol.

If you go with original RE, simply change. Nothing more to do. Going with aftermarket, you might either use resistors or a new 3pole relais. I adapted HIGH SIDERS and dealt with the relais (couldn't find one providing iginiton off warning signal, so give up on that functionality).

The stock mirrors serve their purpose if I sit back on the seat
All I could see were my shoulders. I got the Stadium bar end mirrors after watching Stuart Fillingham's installation video. I love them, and they look great. I just ordered Photon Blaster front marker lights for my Shotgun. I've been experimenting with different spacers to replace the upper fender mount shoulder bolt. I'll post pictures when I get the lights.

Now I am tempting to do the same @Bazza
Seriously, it's as staright forward as can be. Ok, theres the hassle of removing seat ( in my case it's a dual seat), lift tank and slide back, pop the headlight lens. I think the whole job only took 25 mins. And I do like to know what my engine is up to. And, I have never needed a direction giver device that wasn't printed on paper. Was taught NSEW at primary school, and map reading ( OS maps) before high school. Old fashion education, how usefull when electric fails.:unsure::ROFLMAO:

Short Shiftin’ Sally got new shoes today. Front: Bridgestone Adventure Cross Scrambler AX41S. Rear: Bridgestone Adventure Trail AT41. A new D.I.D. 520 VX3-106 chain, and a grab handle for grabbin’ Sally’s a$$ to give her a gentle tug onto her center stand. She likes it when I’m gentle. I rode her about 100 miles and really like the tire combo, especially on the gravel/dirt rides I have to negotiate where I live. My tech said the tires balanced perfectly and he did not need to add any wheel weights front or rear. It’s nice when that happens.

I’m leaving Tuesday for a trip to Prairie du Chien, WI in the beautiful driftless region. One of America’s great places for natural beauty and super roads. When it’s all said and done it’ll be about a 2000 mile trip. Yeehaw!

Installed Maddog Scout X spotlights on a Givi mounting bar to improve visibility. I leave an hour before sunrise and there are many Kangaroos in one particular area that I’ve had to dodge on past trips. I originally fitted some other lights but they were more fog lights with little forward projection. This set of lights came with a good harness and switch whereas my previous spotlights came with a lousy harness and a switch which was so small and difficult to operate. At least I feel a lot more comfortable on the road now.

Installed a 16T sprocket today. Test driven it around 60km with all relevant types of streets. I think its a perfect fit for the bike, doesnt show to much power loss in first gears, really helping lowering rpm on Autobahn average speed around 130km/h, it feels much more relaxed. 6. gear feels now a little like an overdrive, but with enough torque to maintain speed while climbing hills. Max speed is still 160 to170 km/h.

Does adding a front sprocket with more teeth work with the same chain length?
