Does adding a front sprocket with more teeth work with the same chain length?
The adjustment on my Shotgun is almost all the way forward already with the stock 106 chain. I think I would order a 108 chain if installing a 16T front sprocket. Now I want to get a 16T sprocket, and wouldn't you know, I just ordered a new D.I.D 520VX3 Gold X-Ring 106 chain :-/
Yes, it does!
Oh, never mind ;-)

The hash marks on mine are at 5.5, roughly. Same chain that you ordered but the steel version. You and your fancy Gold chain. Dogs are color blind, I think, so Cisco won’t be impressed with your fancy schmancy chain. Ha!

Today Hitchcocks rev counter set arrived and I couldn' resist to install it right away :)

Nice package with a daytona tach and a well done harness and bracket.

Very nice. When you get a chance I would like to know the r.p.m. at 120 kph. The 16T front sprocket should really help to put it in the meat of the torque band at that speed in 6th gear. Thanks.

While waiting for my chain and breaker tool, I installed a pair of Photon Booster front marker lights. The spacer combination and brackets mounted nicely. I tried to make the wiring as unobtrusive as possible. I sleeved the wires to smooth out the bends. I think it turned out pretty good. These lights are very bright, and will be very effective on those foggy mornings. The added visibility helps my peace of mind.

Looks good, but when those things are lit up, Cisco might mistake them for a fresh Bully Strip. Then you’d have a real mess on your hands.

I installed the new chain yesterday and had a pleasant ride to work today. The stock chain just didn't mesh with the rear sprocket very well and would get alternately tight and loose. There was definitely a bad section that is stiff compared to the rest of the length. I lubed it often, but I don't think it was assembled with enough lube to begin with. A 106 chain is just barely long enough, and the wheel is adjusted almost all the way forward. I don't know why the stock chain is a 106, it should be 108. But, the new chain rides smoothly over the sprockets now (and it looks awesome).
