What have you done to or how's your Scram 411 recently?

Gorgeous work, @2LZ ! The only thing I would add is this:

I used to have a similar tank guard/knee grip as you, but the above one is the bee's knees, IMHO. I think it would look great with your work if mounted high:

Thanks Laserman! I'll check those out but for the Scram, I'm looking for something about 3/4(?) that size??? I'll know it when I see it.......

I ended up opting for the puffy, leather(ette?) option. Finally happy. Fortunately, the little rubber ones came off nice and easy with a heat gun. :Dtank2.jpg

Main stand fitted 10 minute job excellent YouTube is a brilliant walk through. Remember you do need to supply your own short bolt for rubber bump stop.

Anybody drop a tooth on the front sprocket to get better acceleration yet? I really don't go on the interstate (often) and when I do the stretch of interstate I frequent is 65mph. Also, I can get to 80 but I'm really not comfortable at that speed and tend to keep it at or under 70 as it is. Gearing Commander suggests that my (theoretical) top speed would drop from 84 to 78 mph, a drop that really shouldn't bother me much. OTOH, I do know that there'd be a real-world effect at my usual interstate speed of 65-70 as well.

I really don't spend much time on the interstate and wonder if the increased acceleration that I saw around town and in the twisties (90%+ of my usual riding) would be worth it. Anybody have any real-world experience?

BTW, I'm also looking at the other stuff like air intake, exhaust, and (eventually) a cam upgrade. This would be one of those easy "one afternoon or less in the garage" kind of upgrades. FuelX Lite is already installed, FWIW.

Thanks!

I went to a 14 T and couldn't be happier, for the use I put the little bike to, which is a back road / graded track wanderer.
Like you I find 80 mph on the bike uncomfortable but I have bikes with three times the power and brakes and suspension to match which were designed for the interstate.
The increase in performance from the 14 T is around the same as fitting a cam and is probably all you will need at considerably less cost.
Never seen any verifiable dyno charts detailing any power gains from intake or exhaust changes, and this matches my own experience - the stock components seem to work fine with the stock motor. Well on my carbed bike they do!
Most other views are at the other end of the spectrum, but IMHO if you need more power you probably bought the wrong bike in the first place.

I raised two teeth on the rear because one tooth less on the front wasn't readily available. Crazy. You can get all the bigger sprockets you want. I live in the sticks. For where I'm at, it's a great gearing. Two teeth up on the rear really helped with that giant jump between first and second.

Small update on the brake pads:
After reading some indian comments about brakes, looking online for replacement brake caliper from harley xg750, ended up replacing my brake pads from the Ferodo Platinum ceramic to the Vesrah Ceramic HH (Japan) brake pads. And oh my the difference is noticable. Not gonna be stopping like a Transalp, but the initial bite and brake performance gets quite a bit better.
p.s. They were expensive to find and ship from india to Greece, almost 90euro total.
I will update after a couple thousand miles for more info.

Decided i wanted to go for a cafe racer look on my Scram. Added some Flying pig Clubman bars, Builtwell Grips, lowering links in the rear, Delkevic full exhaust, K&N Air filter with an open intake, Fuelx pro and a Sahara seat cover. next thing i plan on doing is working on the tail end, and swaping the tires for street tires. Any suggestions or ideas would be welcome. 137661376713768

Yeah, and the Clubman Bars change the entire feel of the bike. Really makes you want to tuck in and lean the bike!
Did you put the new seat cover OVER the stock one, or did you remove the stock cover and staple the Sahara cover on? This will probably be my next upgrade.

I just put it over the stock seat its held on by a draw string and a couple of straps, the only complaint i have is its not water proof. the padding in the seat cover will soak up water.

Good to know about the water, not that rain is a huge issue in CA. Since it's strapped, it would be easy enough to remove to wash off the dust.
Also looking at this one by the same folks. "Vegan leather"? I guess that's the new name for "Pleather".
