What have you done to or how's your Scram 411 recently?

It was already in my list to buy. Looks interesting and fits the looks, but it seemed a bit flimsy. My tank unfortunately got dented while I was at work. I don't know how or who did it but I used this simple sticker to cover the damage. I got it from a local bike shop.
The brand is One Design, it's the universal Gray
You mentioned doing something to your tank hoses underneath. Not sure of your climate in Greece (ours is hot and dry until Winter), but I had a buddy pull his new Kawasaki into his garage after a ride. The next morning he came out to a dented tank. Paint was perfect. He was looking all over trying to find what fell on his bike. Come to find out, Kawasaki had a tank vetn recall. As the tank cooled, the vent didn't klet air back in. POINK!
May want to check it out.

Added this today.

Not a perffect fit, but took some reformatting, as normal. Turned out nice in the end. Had to add washers to each side to space the little flexi-brackets out a little. It also came with the brushed aluminum sash that needed some grinder action to clean up the edges and get it to clear the top rim of the headlight. I painted it black to match the bike, then decided it looked better off.

I replaced the hose that drains the water from the tank during rain with a high pressure high temperature resistant gasoline pipe. The OEM one was already torn and falling apart, the one I used is a gas pressure hose that I used for years on my boat and never has it failed during summertime on long boat vacations under the sea and sun. It will outlast probably the bike itself :)

No major mods but added some ebay pannier supports, Viking "Bonafide" bags and a Reax "Poseidon" duffel up top. The saddle bags are only about 10L each but perfect for daily essentials and day trips. I like that they are low profile and suit the aesthetics of the Scram as well. The Reax bag is awesome, well made, easy to install/remove and holds a lot. The whole setup (with a tent strapped to the top) was perfect for an overnight camping trip.

mine just reached a 300 mile break in period, I installed the handlebar risers, and front fender risers from Hitchcock motorcycles, went seamless, and I didn’t need to reroute anything for the risers

Has anyone else had their clutch REALLY break in around 2000 miles? Maybe just over the past 200 miles or so I've noticed a HUGE change: it used to be super-grabby if I released the lever even a bit and now it almost feels like it doesn't want to fully connect until I'm completely off the lever. It still seems to be holding under acceleration and whatnot but I'm really amazed by the change. Cable adjustment looks fine.

That said, this is my first bike and I can also get that I may just be getting more comfortable with operating the clutch smoothly.

I had to adjust mine with almost no slack. Just a wee bit. Much better now.

Did the dark LED headlight today. Plugged right on. Looks sinister with the Blazing Black motif.....and it's dang bright.
Also got the 40 tooth rear sprocket and 112 link chain in. Got them installed. Super easy and quick. This is how the Scram should have come geared, at least where I live and our terrain. Much more spry and that big jump between 1st and second smoothed out. Very happy with it.

Got a question about the headlight and I should have provided the link above.

The headlight itself, is a basic 7" unit. It's the plug-in that plugs directly to the RE headlight connector. Both high and low beam function normally.
The exception is the little parking light required outside the US. It's two separate wires and DOES NOT plug into the little RE connector. You would need to splice in new spade connectors on the RE side. I left mine disconnected. My guess is it would drive the two outside slotted lights around the rim of the light at 12 and 6.. Mine do NOT light up.
It's held in place and centered by standard headight clips. I had to slightly tweek the clips a little to get them to hold more firmly. This is no biggy. I didn't want a rattle.

There’s a bar there that’s a part of the mourning equipment leftover - I just repurposed it. I also moved to an aftermarket horn… you know… that company, they make lights… starts with a D… Denali? Maybe it’s Denali. Anyway, it’s not mounted not facing to the side - which was how the stock on was and which I though was stupid - but facing to project it’s sound forward. At who I am going to be honking at, 95% of the time.

Just got the DNA air filter and bracket combo in as my first "mod." Not sure if it's a placebo or not but the bike definitely feels a bit snappier on the throttle. (Not that it was sluggish before at low speeds)

I haven't done any higher speed riding yet but I am excited to test it out. Felt good just putting around the neighborhood

I have never done an air mod this open before on a bike, is there any concern about long-term harm to the engine with this style of wide open cover?

Only if you sink it. ;)
I've generally air box modded every bike I've had. So far, no negative effects from anything.

So, for all those who may want to do the "Homemade Tail Tidy" to their Scram, I learned something important.
Make sure the bracket you make sticks more straight out, than down. I finally received my metal license plate from DMV and installed it.
I was blazing over some seriously choppy bumps and suddenly "BLAMMM!!!!" Scared the hell out of me.
I stopped and the rear tire had come up and violently removed my new plate from the bracket. Pulled the mounting bolts right through.
Back to the drawing board. It's all good now. Just make sure you have enough clearance for the weight of the new metal plate that will be bouncing around a bit.

Anyone else tried a AEW slip on muffler/exhaust? This is my first time not doing a full exhaust system swap on a bike so I am unsure if this is normal or not.

I can't seem to slide it on flush while also having it line up with the top mounting nut in the OEM configuration.
I can either mount it on the OEM bracket and not have it slide on all the way, or I can slide it on all the way and not have it line up 🙃

It seems to be on pretty tight, and I didn't have any issues in a 60ish mile ride. But I can not lie it is bugging me a bit.

Maybe I need to look into adding a different bracket/hanger. Just a bit surprised since this model is "advertised" as a scram slip on.
