Hi guys.
Does anyone else’s bike make a whine or whirring noise when slowing down?
I got my bike at 6k on the clock and swear I couldn’t hear it at first but it’s definitely there, especially in 1st/2nd gear.
clutch maybe?

It’s a straight cut gearbox (not helical) which will always be noisy. 1st and 2nd seem noisier as there’s less other noise at low speed. It could also be the tyres - the noise changes as they wear, - the more aggressive the tread (blocks) the noisier they can be.
As Roy says, wear earplugs, (which you should be wearing anyway imho)

These things are noisy. Mine makes different noises every time I take it out. Keep up on your maintenance items so you know all is as it should be, and ignore the noises.

Update. Took it in for its 10k yesterday.
The mechanic told me my tyres was far to under inflated for NZ roads at the suggested 25 front and 32 rear so they are now 32 front and 34 Rear.
That sorted and with a fresh service it's not running like shit anymore and the sounds gone! Ridings definitely a learning curve for sure!

Still a learning curve for me too, even though I was 78 yesterday.
FWIW I am running 21/26 psi with Anekee Adventures, have a tire monitoring system, temp is fine and wear is even right out to 15000 km when the rear reaches my limit of 75% worn.
Only do gravel ; no intentional mud or sand.
