Having the good luck to live on the west coast of Ireland, I regularly do sections of the WAW. Never completed the whole of it. Thinking 2024 will be the year on the Himalayan.

As the WAW is so popular with European bikers, I am also on the Bunk A Biker site only for advice and coffee. Waiting for a new floor to be laid and then I will host.

Photos are from my local section of the WAW. Always happy to meet up and show people section that are not on the self guided maps1000004978-01.jpg20230908_182713.jpg1000053615-01.jpgDJI_0140-01.jpgDJI_0120-01.jpg

The Himalayan certainly suits the country roads in the Irish west, copes with Donegal roads really well....

Hope to get up that way next year. I sat on my first Himmy at the motorcycle show back in 2017/18 I think. Knew then I wanted one. Almost bought new but found the 2019 and she was the one I wanted.

Heyup from Yorkshire. I live on edge of the glorious Yorkshire Dales, biking heaven.
Last time I was over I stayed with my sister in Richmond for a week and saw bit of the district on one of my brothers Bullets.
Lovely country, and the weather was good, but the local bikers were a clanish lot.
And they all seemed to have crappy Bridgestone 020s on their rat bikes.
Spent another week based in Skye and covered the island and the north west in a 650 Cagiva Elephant, probably as good as any bike you can buy today.
But it pissed down most of the time which put a bit of damper on things.
Brightest memories are the, er, frisky Ozzie backpacker girls in the pub next to the B&B , who were, er, working, there to recharge their coffers after running out of cash.
Pity none had brought their mum with them!
