And by the way, you say they could have squeezed 35 hp out of it, but even 35 hp is a joke compared to today's modern bikes. Hell even 70 is a joke. This wasn't built for acceleration at all.

Continental GT 535cc Owners Manual and Service Manual Links

It's not more powerful because it hasn't been re-engineered. It's an homage to the original Bullet engine built in 1931, the oldest engine in production history built by the oldest motorcycle company still in production. The only difference between this engine and its heritage is a bored-out...

Continental GT 535cc Owners Manual and Service Manual Links

This is not anywhere near what is called fast today. If you're buying this bike, you're buying a beautiful one-cylinder homage to a machine that has been in production longer than any other engine. It sounds great, but is more of a leisurely country road bike and not at all a track bike. I'm...

Starting bike for first time in years

Just serviced the bike myself and got it running. Test rode with a grin on my face for a couple hours. I love the engine note. I'm still getting my sea legs with servicing these, but overall not too bad. A question: I did see some black coloration in the oil (surprising for having only ~100...

Thanks all!!!! Whoaaa, great call on the tires, you're right. I'll change them at the end of this season. Engine is turning no problem. Bike is EFI (I don't think I'll miss carbs), so really only things left to worry about are the seals. I'll post pics if I can get to it this weekend.

Starting bike for first time in years

Bike has 97 miles on it, the person I bought it from had it sitting in the living room lol. Given age (2014), I siphoned the gas and bought Motul 15W50 semi-synthetic to do oil change. The bike is technically still in break-in period, which is ridiculously strict on these bikes (very frequent...

    Waxed cotton jackets

I can't find links to it anywhere online, even at the manufacturer's website. The store said they just got them in for the first time last week, so that could explain why. It's a Belstaff Brooklands v2.0. (The old one didn't fit me). Bolsters are a cool corduroy, no leather. Here's a description...

    Waxed cotton jackets

I tried on a bunch of jackets, and this one just felt the best for me... I will miss the mesh jacket, but proud to rock this one.

    Waxed cotton jackets

Hi all, I'm in the market to buy a new motorcycle jacket. I used to have a mesh jacket which was destroyed, so I'm looking for a stylish, timeless, armored, 4-seasons jacket. Does anyone have experience with waxed cotton? I tried one on (Jane Motorcycles) and liked the look but wonder how it...
