Dutch Hunter

Hi guys,
Since last Saturday I can call myself the lucky owner of a RE Hunter, in the colour scheme Rebel Blue. Ever since me and my brother saw it on the Dutch motor fair in Utrecht, I was sold. The colour scheme is the obvious eye catcher, upon further inspection everything seems right, a feeling that was confirmed after a test drive and many positive online reviews. I put a hundred kilometers on it in two rides and couldn't be happier.
As for me, I'm a 41 year old guy from Holland, married with one daughter of four and a half years old. I'm a CAD technician and enjoy watching movies and listening to all kinds of music. That's all there really is to know about me.

Welcome to the forum from the sunny south of the USA.

Those here with the J series bikes all love them, so you are in the fellowship. The rebel blue is a really nice color, the one my wife would pick if she were buying a Hunter so I have to say you have good taste there.

Do you ride mostly city or coutryside?

Thanks for the welcome!
I'd say both, I want to work it for the occasional commute. I work in a different town close by.

It should work great for you then. I love the thumpy torque of the 350s in town, I imagine the Hunter is even better with the tightened up steering angle. But they all seem to love riding the back roads where 100kph is plenty.

Is this your first motorcycle or have you been riding long?

It's my first bike. Had my license for 7 years. My brother in the meantime also had his license, and is now on his second bike, a Bonneville 1200. I'm glad I waited so long. There's really nothing much out there like the Hunter (especially for the price).

Welcome from a Hunter owner on the Isle of Man, great bikes. I've had my Hunter for 12 months now & love it. The choice available for me was Rebel Blue, or the Dapper Grey - tricky choice, but I went for the Dapper Grey. Whichever colour, they're great bikes - mine's a definite keeper.

I was also considering the dapper grey. Once I knew how fun they are to ride, it didn't really need to stand out anymore. But I know rebel blue puts smiles on faces. So for me it was an easy decision.
Funny story. I'm actually considering buying a MT Le Mans jet helmet.
