Thank You , Creswell .
Welcome. Where in NC?
Island hop,

Have you tried any sections of the NEBDR with the Himalayan.
I have not gotten the bike yet but I am looking for more remote routes to bring it home. Most of my riding has been across VT NH Ma , I just looked that up and it looks awesome. I’m not an advanced rider . I am hoping to Vlog the trek though . I’ve seen bikes in NC, Fla and Maine but I kind of want the experience too. Just afraid to blow up a new machine with all the miles up front.

How many miles will you put on the bike to get it home?
Can you do it without any freeway miles?

That’s what I have to plan might be from Fla to NH or NC to NH in any case 800–1000+ likely using secondary roads or some of RT 1 coastal route
In that case I would make plans to pick up your new bike first thing in the morning, than put the 300 miles on the bike that day and have your dealer do the first service the next morning. Then ride it home. I have done this on a number of bikes and it’s worked out well for me. You can also usually work out a better deal on your first service also.

If you do decide to do this make sure you get to your dealer 2.5-3.0 hours before they open up to give time for your motor to cool down before they work on your bike. Because your motor need to be cold before they adjust your valves.
