Side boxes (hard case) for meteor

Looking for side boxes (both left and right) for my meteor. Preferably hard case. Something which is easy to remove and attach. Any ideas?

I put these on mine. I made my own brackets to fit to the rack. They are quite small so would not be great for long term touring but fine for what I now need. They are not quick-detach, especially are they are wired for lights.s-l1600.jpgAv anara.jpg
On my previous bike, an Electra I used Pelican cases; just about indestructible.

Hi Abhishek. I don't know if you have already found something. If not, the two links may help you. With that you can fit any universal fit saddelbag or side case. https://customspain.com/en/supports-saddlebags/718-klickfix-system-removable-saddlebag.html

A quick Google search. Both companies make good stuff.

I’ll happily endorse Hepco & Becker .. I didn’t get the rear rack linked above but went for their “c-bow” fixture system for left & right sidebags. Once you have those affixed to the bike, they have a range of bags & cases that will lock in place.

One possible benefit (in my case): if my wife goes with the Hepco & Becker c-bow thing on her next bike, we could swap bags between the bikes instantly, which seems nice...

The mounting racks are pretty much invisible without the bags on, and the fit is solid. Not the cheapest solution, but when I was looking, options were few. Been meaning to report here, just need to dig up the photos .

Hi Morgan! Givi's PL 9053 structure is in my opinion a hideous bunch of tubes, almost a complete motorcycle frame that completely disfigures the simplicity of the Meteor, . On the other hand, those from Hepco & Becker seems to me to be a fantastic solution, with the possibility of acquiring hardware separately for your personal project, even if you have to implement the lock yourself. It was my first option but H&B dealer in Spain is not able to sell it in the Canary Islands, a part of the Spanish territory. Now I am waiting to receive my order for the ClickFix system to see how it works and the resistance of its ABS components (I ordered two couples of these for testing purposes) . I will comment my impressions when I have enough information about it. I think it's worth it for its price.
Here is another quite versatile system, metallic and very simple to manufacture. Interesting for any DIY project.

Hello Viejo,
I usually prefer Hepco & Becker over Givi depending on the applaction and bike.
H&Bs C-BOW Carrier really looks nice and clean. I wonder how they will hold up under weight and ruff road conditions, compared to the Givi heavy duty bag racks.

I have the Givi MT501 bags. They weren't cheap, but I think they look good on the bike. Bought them from tourandride.com I use a small keyed padlock on the zipper pulls, for a small sense of security. I can't fit a 3/4 helmet in it, but I can roll up my jacket and store it.

I've just ordered Givi back and pannier racks and a top box - ended up going for Givi because the bare racks look a bit more classic than the others I'd seen and I'll be riding without them quite a bit. Undecided on bags yet if I go for the hard aluminium or the waterproof rolldowns.

Install all looks very straightforward

My fingers, on the mouse, got confused. What I was attempting to say is that the Givi pannier racks, that I have, attached with the 2 bolts on the rear seat rails. easy peasy.

I note that the OP came back to this thread ONCE, the very next day after his original posting, so anything after Steve's post was like whistling into the wind. :(

However, others may still come here to see what was said on the topic of hard panniers for the Meteor, so I'll cast my two cents in as well.

I went with the Givi panniers, as I wanted lockable, waterproof and easily removed. The Givi's do it all, but they aren't cheap. The frames are mostly out of view with the panniers mounted and the whole system is easy to install. Just leave all mounting bolts loose as you go and tighten once all the bits are in place.

I mounted my panniers opposite to what they show on the Givi website. They can go either way and looked better to my eye mounted as I have - AND, it makes the rear of my bike look bigger and more noticeable to cagers rolling up behind at a stop. Adding some 3M reflective tape compensates for the rather small tail light on the Meteor, especially at night.
